Ernest E. Villarreal

Ernie Villarreal was born in San Diego, CA where he attended Sweetwater High School and San Diego State University. Ernie has an expansive career record in marketing and communications. He has held various executive positions with News Corp. culminating as Executive Vice President and General Manager of Atlas News.

Ernie's artistic flare surfaced while developing sales, marketing and promotional presentations for such national magazine titles as Newsweek, Readers Digest, Seventeen, Premier, Soap Opera Digest, New Woman and New York Magazine

Ernie's desire to express himself artistically has compelled him to take numerous art classes over the years. Still-life painting and figure drawing could never keep his interest. As a result of exploring various mediums, Ernie found abstract expression in acrylic the vehicle to express his artistic talent.

During Ernie's professional tenure he has lived in Los Angeles, Ca, New York, NY, Philadelphia, PA, Boston, MA. He has subsequently returned to Philadelphia where he currently resides. When not focusing on his art, Ernie maintains a thriving General Contractor business in Center City, Philadelphia.
